Maybe find it with the BackUp Project?Īnyway, I did my best and I copied my project to try the Magic Masks with Fusion like i did before. I suspected that I should have kept the project and worked on a copy in case you asked for it. Only I find myself having recurrent crashes on a rush that uses the MagicMask, I feel that waiting longer and/or going to the color tab on the rush in question avoids crashing later. So this time I used the Magic mask via the color tab and the project launches without any problem and very quickly and the interface is fluid. No more problems, the project launches in 10-20 sec and no slowing down during use. And indeed, after deleting all Fusion rushes with a Magic Mask. I bet that using Magic Mask in Fusion could be the problem source. After a short wait, the project opened, but with a lot of freezes and lag, and DR crashing at the slightest prolonged timeline playback, sometimes just by moving the playback cursor on the timeline. I used this to successfully reopen my project by going through File->Project Manager-> project open. Indeed, the "montaaage 2" project was the only one I could no longer open, starting a new project opened the DR interface for me. If you had other libraries, you'd need to Reconnect to them to see them in the Project Manager list. Again, any existing project libraries would not be seen, just the default Local - Local Database project library. As if you were doing a new Resolve install. We no longer capture the nf file in our log capture, which is why I don't see it. This would confirm my suspicion that something was playing around in this folder at some point.Įdit: The above comments about nf being missing is a brain fart on my part. config_oldtemp.data which would have had to be created manually. I can't imagine why that would be gone unless someone was messing with things in the Preferences folder. You'll need to Reconnect to any other databases. That will get recreated when Resolve launches, but if you had any Project Libraries other than the default Local - Local Database project library, those will not be shown. If you had any Keyboard Customization things done, those will also be gone.įinally, the nf file is missing. If you had any Preferences modifications made, be sure to reapply those after starting. It will recreate the config files with the default starting info. files.Īlso delete the UI.preset, keyboard-preset.xml, usersmartfolder.xml and files. Sometimes a Resolve crash can corrupt the config.dat and. No idea how this number of files would have been corrupted. You have multiple files in the Preferences folder that have been corrupted somehow. I've also tried "run as administrator" and "troubleshoot compatibility".īelow is the Windows system info and davinci logs. I do have a speed editor but I tried removing the Davinci Control Panel software. It's not the end of the world but it's a hassle as my original user account has all my windows and other programs settings. Same story - original user account cannot open Davinci, new user account can. I've since run each update all the way to the current version (18.something) hoping perhaps new files would overwrite whatever may have been causing the problem. I created another user account on my computer, and when I logged into that, I could open davinci without a problem. Process popped up in task manager and then went away. Since version 17 (or so) when I launch davinci I get the spinning blue wheel and it then goes away.
